This week teachers learned how to solve digital breakouts.  Breakouts incorporate the 4 “C’s” – critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication.  Breakouts help teach students these skills as they work to solve a problem or mystery using digital codes or a lockbox of codes.  Each breakout session focuses on literacy, math, science, social studies, team building, or computer science skills.

Teachers were given a holiday problem to solve in order to “break out”.  We had grade level teams compete against each other to see who could solve the problem in the quickest amount of time.  Teachers were then given resources on how to do break out sessions with their students!
